Default Gain Gamer Points, even if you lose.

Due to the influx of players in the snowball fight, there is not an inconcievable amount of complete and utter morons, who can't even grasp the basics of the game. (The "good" teams are already IN the arena tearing it up.)

This makes it incredibly hard to get gamer points for the title due to the fact that, at the moment, you have to win to get them.

So please, A.net, allow the losing team to get Gamer Points equal to the amount of points they scored during the match, that way at least whatever effort was put in by the players is recognized. Besides the title does say gain points for participating in games, not winning them.

That or activate other games, please...

Now I'm off to go write a guide for these sad, sad individuals who just don't get it.

I like the idea, but it promotes leeching.

Put it to you this way, right now, it's so bad, they might as well not be there. Besides, people are leeching for Balth. Faction as is. I rather have some reward for putting up with it and losing then totally waste my time.

Change it so you get 1-5 gamer points(points can be changed by amount to make fair) for each gift you give to your god. No leeching is available since they would need to actually get the gift and go give it to their god, and it still evens out for everybody.

I think that could keep everyone happy.

The title is not that hard to get, you only need 100 wins. It's no requirement for constructive.

And everyone got a hard time until they get on a good team, it's Random Arena remember. So good players get on good teams because they try a lot of times.

I got the skillz title the first day, and halfway to pro skills, and I still had time to play a lot of PvE aswell.....

maybe if you're within a certain range of the avatar when the point is scored, you can get a gamer point then. it still forces the afk to move, making leeching pointless, and if you didnt actually deliver the present but you helped with it, you still get some gamer points. plus, it would promote teamwork because the team grouping back up to get the gamer points are going to protect him more.

hi all

if anet make it like this:

for each gift delivered to the avatar = 2 skillz point
so the winning team allaways get the 10 points

look more rewarding for the losing team....

I say if you personally deliver the presents, you get 2 points and anyone else on you team that's actually doing something gets 1 point (if anet can make it work like that).

Maybe you could get 1 point for every unique kill you make in a match as well.

Gamer points when loose = leechers winning

Everybody would just idle, even if you knock it down to 1 point a game, its still only 1000 times somebody has to click on the button, and with whole teams idling, matches would be over before 4 mins had passed easy.

(unless everyone idled, then it would just last forever, and be funny.

anyway, /not signed, you can get a good group, its all about luck placement, ive had a couple of 10 streaks today getting good groups. Yes there are morons, but yes there are some decent players.

Once again, to the short sighted people warning of leechers, there are already leechers in the arena. That's part of the problem. Though i do like some of the alternative suggestions that have been presented.

I disagree. If it was changed so that the losing team gets 2 points per present then no matter what the afk'ers still lose. But this way its not a complete waste of 8 minutes in a battle that you lose 4-5.
However i still think that its not a hard title, (I'm less than 10 wins away) it would at least give people a small reward for trying.

Either way i doubt it will be changed.

Make rewards for being active and involved no matter if you win or lose. Personal gain = more motivation to do your best.

honestly i dont get it.. why does everything have to be so easy? is no one willing to work for anything anymore?? You win u get a reward, u lose you dont its not hard to grasp, and like someone said its RA some days u cant find a good team and other days you'll pretty much roll over everyone you meet.

Idlers are bad enough without giving people more incentive to do it, fort aspenwood anyone?

As for getting points for giving presents, that doesnt promote team play you'll get everyone scrambling for presents to get extra points instead of watching each others backs like they should be doing

Make the reward a personal venture, based on the game activities.

If you, personally, capture a gift, you get one point and perhaps the ability to get a consolation prize if you lose. If your team wins the game with 5 captures, you all win 10 points.

No leechers, no greifers.
